Seasonal Farm Assistant (March-November)

We are now hiring seasonal farm assistants at Seton Harvest. Those applying for this position must possess an understanding of or a willingness to learn organic farming practices, including soil amendment processes, composting, weed management, harvesting methods, irrigation techniques and greenhouse operations. Must be able to endure at least eight hours continuous work requiring physical demands, including, but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and lifting. Able to work outdoors at least 90% of an eight-hour day. Must know how to safely operate and care for agricultural equipment, demonstrate positive attitude, creative thinking and self-motivational skills. 

 

High school graduate or the equivalent required; additional courses in agriculture or horticulture preferred.
